Happy Monday to you! How was your weekend?
Mine was really great! Dinner out with a friend, a wonderful yoga class where I was finally able to do crow pose, finalizing the writing of my website copy and making a huge dent in The Girl Who Kicked the Hornets Nest were all accomplished. All-in-all a relaxing, productive weekend which makes me beyond happy.
This week I have book club, a board meeting for Sustain Charlotte, a meeting with a potential client (fingers crossed!) and then onto Charleston for Labor Day. I’m beyond excited!

Happy Friday to you! What fun do you have planned?
With our mid-week trip to Baltimore, I’ve been playing catch-up today and plan to this weekend as well. I’m trying to wrap up my Blue Feather Media website copy so that it can be plugged into the website, which from the samples I’ve seen, looks fabulous!
Beyond the work, I’m also doing some pampering with a haircut and eyebrow threading appointment. I’ve been feeling slightly disheveled this week and am really looking forward to some TLC.

Last week I was able to score some amazing deals on Gilt Groupe at the pre-release sale of John Derian for Target. Loving this melamine plate that I’m going to put in my bookcase.
This lamp that is utter perfection. It’s listed as vintage but I know 100% I’ve seen very similar ones. Anyone know where I can find similar?
I saw this bumper sticker and it immediately spoke to me. I love it.
And finally, doesn’t this pretty lady spotted over on A Cup of Jo look so stylish? I’d love to dress like her this early-fall (sans the head band).
I saw this video on Design Mom and found it to be quite intriguing. On the one side, I know it’s quite liberating to be comfortable alone. But on the other, I think the video shows this depression in spirits. No laughter or tender romantic moments.

Mine was very relaxing. After two fantastic yoga classes, some time reading, a lot of cleaning and purging in the house and some great one-on-one time with my friend Amber after the baby shower I spent Sunday night curled up watching Weeds, my new favorite TV show. It was an accomplish filled weekend that all around left me feeling satisfied.
This week I have some great posts lined up which I’m really excited about! Also, there’s lots of exciting stuff going on at Blue Feather Media so stay tuned! Cheers to a great week!

Happy Friday to you! What fun do you have planned?
Not much on the calendar for me, except attending a baby shower on Saturday. Truthfully, bridal and baby showers are not favorite, but I do know several ladies attending so I’m hoping it’s fun!
I have lots of magazines that arrived this week + The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet’s Nest just came up at the library so I’m hunkering down with Real Simple, Charlotte Magazine, Yoga Journal and the 500 page beast of a book!

Remember a few weeks ago I mentioned I was having some head shots taken? Well, I finally had the session with Cheyenne and Geoff Schultz and couldn’t be happier! Since the only professional photos Stephen and I have were at our wedding, we decided to split the head shot session in half and do lots of fun couple poses. Anyway, I received a sneak peek on Monday of the couple shots and couldn’t be happier.
Beware: there’s a lot!

Mine was very relaxing. Lots of fun with friends at a dinner party, a few DIY projects around the house, a trip to Target (my fav), yoga and even trying a new recipe!
We have family coming into town on Tuesday for a few days so I’m busy getting the house in tip-top shape, stocking up on goodies that kids love and brainstorming fun activities in Charlotte.

Tonight we’re heading to a party with several friends, the perfect way to end the week. I love pot lucks, music, good conversation and just hanging out with people I adore. Stephen’s in town, which is always nice, so I wouldn’t be surprised if we made a trip to Home Depot, Target, etc. etc. You know, tackling the “honey do” list.

I’m very much ready for this weekend! I’ve been wrapping up a lot of final vendor details for a wedding I planning in September as well as doing a lot for Blue Feather Media. Everything is finally coming together, but boy am I beat this week!

The wedding was beautiful, just stunning, and I was so happy to see our good friends get married. Boston, where we spent Wednesday, was a blur and I can’t wait to go back! Maine, where we spent the remainder of the week and weekend was a blast. Great friends, beautiful weather, time by the lake and all around a party atmosphere!
