Loving…

As always, I’m still trying to update my wardrobe. I’m seriously lacking in the nice shirt department. Love this one from Ann Taylor Loft.

Beautiful leather moleskin covers. I definitely wouldn’t purchase one simply for a notebook, but I love the buttery soft leather.

Neapolitan’s new mini boxes sold in her Etsy shop. I want to frame the top middle and top right sheets of paper as pretty original artwork.

This super awesome faux python print iPhone cover. I spotted it in Oprah with a 50% off coupon code– which I think I love just as much as the cover.

Custom Stamps

Monday, July 12th, 2010

It’s time for me to order some stamps and I’m really not loving what the post office has to offer right now. Of course, I love these ones, but I’ve already gone through four sheets and am ready for a change. I was looking around on their website and came across the custom store which actually had a few options I really liked. What do you think, would you pay the premium, stick with their designs or just don’t care in general and purchase flags?

Girl Scouts Rebranding

Wednesday, July 7th, 2010

As a former girl scout and serious lover of design, I’m completely enamored by the Girl Scouts of America rebranding campaign. It looks young and fresh. And… there’s even more to see here. I love it! What do you think?

The Perfect Something

Wednesday, June 16th, 2010

Does this ever happen to you: you’re thinking about an item (or pattern) that you’d like to somehow add to your collection, something that’s in style but you haven’t yet tired of, and all of the sudden the perfect item appears? Well that happens to me quite often.

Case in point, the ikat card above.

I’m still not tired of this pattern and I’ve been trying to figure out how to add some into my home (beyond a pillow since I’m not on that decorating front yet) and out of nowhere (I wasn’t even searching) the perfect pink ikat shows up… just asking to be framed and added to my gallery wall.

Then, I continue to look through the shop and stumble upon my next batch of birthday cards (pictured below).

I love when you don’t have to look hard or long for that perfect item!

I am completely obsessed with Simplesong’s new website. Suann has an expanded collection  of ready made and personalized stationary that I can barely control myself from purchasing everything! Not to mention, how amazing are her wedding invitations? I’m obsessed with that envelope liner pattern.

J.Crew can do now wrong with their summer tees. I’m still not tiring of ruffles and am seriously obsessing about this beauty.

We just got news that three separate friends are pregnant which means it’s time for me to stock up on baby cards! Loving these gender neutral lovelies.

All of the sudden I’m into super feminine pinks for my toes. This matches my skin tone perfectly and is so flattering. Love.

There are so many great things these days. First up, Joslyn’s backyard and urban garden. Seriously, could it be any prettier? It makes me want to do more with our front porch.

I think this denim tulip skirt is the perfect shape for my body.

And aren’t these Polaroid notecards so fun and unique.

Finally, doesn’t this dress look like it’s covered with pretty brush strokes? Love.

Mr. & Mrs.

Monday, May 10th, 2010

We have several weddings to go to this summer and quite frankly, I get so bored with the typical Mr. and Mrs. cards. These are my new favorites and what all our newlywed friends will be receiving!

P.S. They have many other fun designs for every life event.

Abstract Stationary

Pretty, pretty abstract peonies. Very springish, don’t you think?

It’s my marker dreamland. Every color I could want for a fun little price.

A few weeks back I solicited answers to the question: what’s your favorite mascara? And I got tons of suggestions with a few being repeated several times. Now I must admit, if I can get something that works just as well but at a fraction of the price from a drugstore brand, then I’m all for it. And, truly, I love this stuff. It doesn’t clump, it doesn’t flake and best of all, no raccoon eyes!

Benjamin Moore Camouflage which is the color we painted the home office/spare bedroom. It’s much more army green than it appears on my monitor but I must say, it’s perfect. I love it and have to thank Bryn for helping me to pick it out.

This card is so perfect. It would be cute for a long distance relationship or if you live away from your family. Bonus For Me: It’s available printed with Phoenix.

John Derian postcards. I really wish I could find them locally– they’re only $1.50 to $2, as Jordan pointed out, what an easy way to create unique art.

The TeuxDeux to-do list. It’s runs in your Internet browser and  as swissmiss (the designer puts it) “you always see an entire week in front of you and you see what day of the week you’re on. Days in the past are light gray, the actual day is red and days in the future are black. You have the ability of checking items off, which is incredibly satisfying. But, you can also ‘x’ an item off, delete it, if you want to get rid of the clutter.” Bonus: all the items you don’t finish transfer over to the next day. Love, love, love this.

The fact that a bunch of community minded citizens voiced their concerns, spoke up and saved 1/2 of the Charlotte library system from being closed. It’s amazing how several people can come up with a much better solution than fulling cutting services to hundreds of thousands of people.

Incredibly fun and oh-so-me notebooks.

Diptyque Olene perfume. I received a sample and it’s one of the very few I’ve found that doesn’t turn rank on me. It’s not too sweet, not too musky and best of all, doesn’t give me headaches. I think I may have found my new scent…

Bryn’s acrylic business card holder and push pin box. Perfection.

P.S. The Abstract Expressionist stamps I loved are available today! I’m not even going to waste my time going to the PO and have already placed my order online!

This pattern. Even more so now that it’s paired with stationary. My favorite.

I’m still hunting for the perfect striped tee. Found one, then the hems all came out, and they keep coming out despite resewing. I want one that’s long and slightly fitted. This one seems pretty perfect.

This table my good friend Tonya found when we were out doing home decor shopping. It’s vintage (of course) and I’m running it by my new decorator friend (also found by Tonya) to hear her thoughts. Fingers crossed she thinks it will work in my living room… I’m so bad at pulling rooms together.

Can’t get enough of this print. Wish I could say I was sophisticated and read The New Yorker every week but I’m not. I’m thinking a 5×7 note card framed would work perfectly on my gallery wall.

Independent Artisan: Pixelimpress

Wednesday, February 24th, 2010

I’ve purchased more than a few things from Pam’s shop and everything is top notch! She ships quickly, I get exactly what I ordered and she always leave me wanting more– exactly what an independent artisan should do, right?!

I love her fresh colors and how on point she is with design trends. I mean, who doesn’t want chevron stripe in Kate Spade green?

Paperie Love

Friday, February 19th, 2010

Yesterday I saw two letterpress designs that immediately stopped me dead in my online tracks. First up was this new design from Smock Paper (above). I’m not sure if it’s the pattern, or the colors but I’m definitely in love.

Next up is Parrot Design Studio’s custom Marrakesh wedding suite. I love the intricate detailing paired with the classic font. It really sets the tone for what I’m thinking will be a phenomenal wedding.
