Y’all know I love a good deal. Like, really love it. And what do I love just as much as a good deal? Supporting local businesses. So, when I started hearing about Groupon and Living Social I looked into them.

Basically, they both offer the same thing, deeply discounted merchandise, gift certificates and promotions. Deep discounted as in 60-90% off. Yeah. We’re talking, $8 for a year subscription to Charlotte Magazine (regularly $20), $50 for a 10-class series at a local pilates studio (regularly $120) and $25 for gift certificates at restaurants that then translate to $50 in food. Awesome, right.

Well here’s the only kicker, the deals are only good for one day only, some are limited to a certain number of buyers and with Groupon, in order for the deal to be valid a certain number of people must purchase the promotion.

I’ve purchased once from Living Social and twice from Groupon and have absolutely not been disappointed. I like supporting local, trying new places and getting discounts. Win, win for everyone involved. Both Groupon and Living Social are offered in tons of different cities so definitely check them out and get on your cities email list. You’ll get one email a day from each site.

One of my favorite things about spring and summer is wearing sandals and with that comes toes painted in fun colors! I change my color every few weeks but always go back to dark colors.
