I’m pretty much done with my wrapping for now, but next year I’d love to use these chevron holiday gift tags from Pixelimpress.

Anyone still searching for a 2010 calendar? I personally went with Alicia Bock’s The Polaroids. I love photography and it adds a bit of color and whimsy to the corner it will sit in.

In addition to the homemade liqueur we’re making for friends this holiday season, some of our neighbors (who we aren’t sure drink alcohol) are getting homemade cookies packed in Suann’s beautiful treat boxes. I love beautiful packaging!!!

I really would love a chunky sweater for this winter. Paired with skinny jeans tucked into boots I think it would make the perfect chic but comfy winter look. Either this cashmere wrap cardigan from Toast (above) or the Hug Me sweater by Etsy seller Design by Nihan (below) would do the trick!

My favorite Top Designer, Carol Hannah, has an Etsy shop filled with lots of pretty dresses! I’m thinking holiday parties and spring weddings…

These scratch ‘n sniff cards are genius. The scents of the holidays are one of my favorite things of the season.

Gasp. I’m a definitely not stylish enough to have stockings like this hanging around. But, I would love to! Click here to see all your favorite fabrics created into Christmas goodness.
P.S. She can also do tree skirts!

I’ve been on the hunt for a holiday wreath with very little luck. The majority that I’ve found have either been of poor quality or way over my budget. (I simply don’t want to spend $100 for a wreath!) After a quick Etsy search, I found this great shop filled with beautiful wreaths for every season. Now I need to decide which one!

‘Tis the season for holiday parties and you know what that means… it’s also the season for giving hostess gifts. I find that giving wine (a standby for many) isn’t always the best option for several reasons: people are pretty particular about what they drink and you might choose something that isn’t liked, sometimes the host or hostess feels obligated to open the wine immediately and you certainly don’t want that and finally, not everyone drinks. So, here are a few things I prefer to give instead.

Handmade seasonal homemade jam would taste amazing on all the baked goods that are served around the holidays. If you’re feeling particularly generous, you could pair this with some vintage inspired spreaders.

How about an unscented, or if you’re familiar with the hostess’ preferences, a lightly scented candle paired along with these vintage wallpaper covered matchboxes? Placing this combination on any bedside table adds instant warmth to a room and is pretty perfect for someone you don’t know well.

If the hostess loves being in the kitchen, I’d give a cute dishtowel to match their decor. And, if you’d like to prepare several hostess gifts and always be prepared, these dishtowels from Ikea are only $.49 apiece! Tie them with some raffia ribbon and tuck a wooden spoon inside the bow.

Hand-soap in a beautiful bottle is a pretty safe bet. I have Compagnie de Provence bottles that I now refill in my kitchen and bathroom and receive compliments all the time!

To me a plant represents renewal and new growth, much like the New Year. I think they’re also an unexpected gift. A succulent is basically fail proof and requires very little water, and very little commitment or time. I like putting them in these pots from Ikea which are less than $5 but don’t look like it!

And of course, the no fail ornament. When it’s as simple and beautiful as this 2009 commemorative dove with gold leaf gilding you can’t go wrong.

OK it’s official. I know it’s not Halloween yet, but my creative juices have been totally flowing these last few days. I don’t really like Halloween, in fact, if I’m honest, I’d be fine if it disappeared! But I digress.
Anyway, I’ve been brainstorming Christmas ideas like a mad woman because that’s the holiday I adore! I like to have everything major (shopping and wrapping) done by December 1 so I can enjoy the days leading up to Christmas stress free. I have one month.
Inspired by Courtney’s project last year, I purchased the tags above to hang on our bottles of homemade liqueur. One of my New Years Resolutions was to create something homemade for friends and neighbors and I think this is just the ticket!

In addition to simplifying gifts, this year, I’ve decided wrapping is getting easier too. I’m doing craft paper, my favorite string and these cute hang tags. As always, Etsy doesn’t disappoint.
I can feel the creative juices flowing and I’m sooo excited!

It’s that time of year!!! Well, almost.
I already have my stamps and I’m brainstorming about my letter. You see, I have to think ahead on these things or else they won’t get done! I’ve been searching for cards and have officially found them! I love the message, the letterpress, the craft paper and the simple design!

Loving this calendar with quirky illustrations. And, since Blanca is a new to me designer, I must share her illustrations too. I adore this one, this one and this one too!

I know more than a few people who would love Alicia Bock’s new 2010 calendar. Each image literally transports me. I’m thinking of doing a series in my kitchen.

Isn’t this laptop cover beautiful? I think it’s my favorite out of every one I’ve seen.

Yesterday I did a general search for letterpressed happy birthday cards on Etsy and came upon Lakema Letterpress and these super simple cards. I love the emphasis on typography and how they could work for anyone–young old, male or female.
Peggy is new to selling on Etsy but I can tell her shop is going to be super successful. After all, can you go wrong with letterpress?
