I stumbled upon a collection of free computer and iPhone wallpaper illustrations. Really, really charming and a must check out for some colorful inspiration.

Inspiring Poster

I’m thinking this poster would be a great addition to my inspiration board. A nice reminder to look at everyday.

Also, this one and this one pretty much rock.

Loving…

Thursday, May 6th, 2010

It seems my wish list could go on and on forever. First up, I’m feeling bohemian. I want airy, long dresses for summer. I’m picturing wearing this with a chunky cuff and funky sandals to the rehearsal dinner BBQ we’re attending this July up in Maine.

Again, it’s somewhat bohemian and wouldn’t this horn bowl look great in a bookcase or on a side table?

spotted these in the most recent Nordstrom catalog I received in the mail. They’re a little bit punk rock and look way better on the model than this picture shows.

Finally, Alicia Bock’s new photograph bookmarks. Just looking at them takes me away.

Loving…

Thursday, April 22nd, 2010

Even though I haven’t yet read Joy’s book… and it’s not even released yet… I’m still loving the concept and can’t wait to get my little paws on it.

I absolutely love my new MacBook Pro. It seriously has made my online life so much better.

Blogger favorite Max Wanger now has a shop filled with select images printed on shirts, postcards and fine art prints. I adore the LOVE image above.

Loving…

Thursday, April 1st, 2010

This card is so perfect. It would be cute for a long distance relationship or if you live away from your family. Bonus For Me: It’s available printed with Phoenix.

John Derian postcards. I really wish I could find them locally– they’re only $1.50 to $2, as Jordan pointed out, what an easy way to create unique art.

The TeuxDeux to-do list. It’s runs in your Internet browser and  as swissmiss (the designer puts it) “you always see an entire week in front of you and you see what day of the week you’re on. Days in the past are light gray, the actual day is red and days in the future are black. You have the ability of checking items off, which is incredibly satisfying. But, you can also ‘x’ an item off, delete it, if you want to get rid of the clutter.” Bonus: all the items you don’t finish transfer over to the next day. Love, love, love this.

The fact that a bunch of community minded citizens voiced their concerns, spoke up and saved 1/2 of the Charlotte library system from being closed. It’s amazing how several people can come up with a much better solution than fulling cutting services to hundreds of thousands of people.

She’s a Rainbow

Have you seen this book? I freaking love it! It features some of my favorite photographers (I read about it through Alicia Bock’s newsletter) and think it’s going to be become my next coffee table book. Simply stunning!

Be prepared to cry. Check out this amazing photo essay of a soldier coming home from a deployment and meeting his daughter for the first time.

I absolutely love these chalk board prints. I’m picturing them in a children’s room, nursery, playroom or den.

P.S. Now that’s it’s warming up, doesn’t that scooter print make you want to get one and ride around everywhere?!

Loving…

Thursday, February 11th, 2010

I’m changing the name of the Thursday post from Coveting… to Loving… because as I was getting this post together I realized I don’t have a ton of things I’m coveting this week, but rather more things on my mind that I’m loving. So, without further adieu, this weeks loving…

Alicia Bock’s print The Renault. I haven’t been to Paris yet, but this is what it looks like in my mind. Moody and quirky and all together lovely.

Six weeks of amazing inspiration from 300 fabulous bloggers. I’m posting February 25th (click here to see when the other bloggers are posting) and am busy compiling my list of everything that inspires me.

Yoga. When I’m in class I feel strong and proud of my body.

I was so against Twitter for so long (I’m not quite sure why) but now that I’m on, I’m hooked! Follow me here. I love social media.

Wachovia Possibilities Rewards. For every penny I spend and every bill I pay, I earn points. I just traded them in for a $50 Restoration Hardware gift card!

Independent Artisan: Kari Herer

Wednesday, February 3rd, 2010

Five of Kari’s silverware prints are in my kitchen and one of her peony postcards has found it’s way into my bookcase. Suffice it to say, I absolutely love her work. Some of it looks vintage while some of it is almost dream like.  The quality is impeccable and the colors truly lovely. Definitely check her site out for loads of inspiration.

Picturing the Past 10 Years

Wednesday, January 13th, 2010

Phillip Niemeyer has created an awesome visual chart for the New York Times depicting trends of the past decade. Check out the whole chart here. It will definitely be a walk down memory lane.

Abandonend Houses

Monday, January 11th, 2010

This photo series of Abandoned Houses by Kevin Bauman is both fascinating and sad. To think that at one time families lived and loved in these; someone may have even put their own sweat and tears into building one. I wish there was a way to go into all of these towns that are dying and help revive the ecomony, the people and in turn the neighborhoods.

Yesterday Alyson confirmed she’s going to be printing up her amazing Imagination poster. I have a frame reserved on the gallery wall and cannot wait until these babies are available for sale in her shop!
