Happy Monday to you! How was your weekend?
My weekend was really great! First off, it didn’t rain at all which made me very happy. Second off, we saw two good movies, Changeling and Avatar. I was really against seeing Avatar but to my pleasant surprise it was fantastic! And of course, we watched the Superbowl.
In addition to sitting in front of the screen, we finally made it back to the framing store to get our final kitchen pictures matted so I’ll be sharing that on the blog next week! With the addition of the baskets to put on my island, the kitchen is really coming together and I couldn’t be happier.
And finally, I had brunch with two new friends who I’m really excited to be getting to know better.

sarah, sounds like a great weekend! ours was similar. actually picked up some framed pictures too. a movie…(500) days of summer. cute, have you seen it?? no rain either… so a 5 mile walk with neighbor in our 55 degree sunny weather (so unusual for february here). a superbowl gathering. and finalizing plans for our kitchen renovation…. exciting! have a good week. pam
I’m so anti-movie theaters. I have no idea why. dlb has been begging me to go see Avatar with him, so maybe I’ll break down soon.

Alyson- I really think you should see it. I’m not really into theaters either and I’m definitely not into sci-fi or fantasy so Avatar was a no go for me. But when my girlfriend went and then said it was awesome I figured I’d give it a try. I’m so glad I did. I was beyond surprised. Would even see it a second time. And… if you can see it in 3-D it’s even better. 3-D definitely has come a long way!
Pam- It sounds like you had a wonderful weekend! I’m so jealous of your sunshine. I wish it would be coming our way. Tomorrow it’s calling for sleet and rain. Boo hoo.
I have seen (500) days of summer and thought it was really cute. I love Zooey! Are you going to be sharing before, during and after pictures of your kitchen renovation?
yes, kitchen reno will be shared. should make for some interesting blog posts. we’re trying to get it all together now to complete (new granite, sink, faucet, backsplash and paint) by the time my in-laws arrive march 25 (but i’ve warned my husband…. there is to be NO half-done kitchen when we have company!). they visit every other year or so, so it’d be nice for them to see it. and i think it’s do-able by that date.
as for sunshine…. yes, it’s definitely nice but some of my spring perennials are already growing. if we get a frost, they’re done for and i lose them for the year (i think).
Ohhh I absolutely cannot wait to see it, Pam! I love a great kitchen and already have my dream kitchen all picked out!
