On Saturday night we watched Julie & Julia and found it to be so charming! It’s definitely a great film to watch when you’re holed up due to crappy weather. It doesn’t hurt to have a big cup of hot chocolate either.
I really didn’t know anything about Julia Child’s life and the film has piqued my interest to do some reading. Any suggestions?

sarah, hubby and i watched it also saturday night. i had seen it when it came out though. it’s so cute! i would have loved a whole movie with meryl streep as julia. i didn’t know anything about julia child either before i saw it…. i don’t even think i knew she was married! or certainly that she got her start into cooking so late in her life. fascinating. i think paul child wrote a memoir that i’d be interested in reading. pam
ps we had hot chocolate also.
Read the book! I liked the movie but really loved the book. It would probably ease you into some history of Julia Child.

I loooooved My Life in France – I agree with Pam, wish the whole movie had been about Julia Child. (My Life in France is written by her nephew Paul.)
